Your postgraduate coursework studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences begin with the Postgraduate Welcome Program on Thursday 20 February.

The Postgraduate Welcome Program is your opportunity to:

• Learn essential information about your studies
• Discover campus with our Postgraduate Tour Leaders
• Connect with your Postgraduate Coordinator and other students over free food, drinks and live music in our historic Great Hall in the Quadrangle

Please note this is a ticketed program open only to commencing postgraduate coursework students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and registration is essential. 

About the program

The Postgraduate Welcome Program begins with an Information Session where our experts will discuss the important information you need to know about starting your studies, understanding your course, accessing helpful resources and opportunities available to you as a student. 

You'll then get to discover our campus. Guided in a small group by your friendly and knowledgeable Postgraduate Tour Leader, who is a senior postgraduate coursework student in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, you'll visit your classrooms, study spots, social spaces and other iconic loactions at the University of Sydney. 

The program finishes with a formal welcome to your postgraduate studies in our historic Great Hall in the Quadrangle. You'll be connected with your Postgraduate Coursework Coordinator, our Dean and other staff as well as new students in your degree. 

There will be free food, drinks, live music, and the chance to get to know each other and ask staff any further questions you have before classes start.

If you are unable to make the beginning of the program, you are welcome to join us in the Great Hall in the Quadrangle from 5pm.
